The Collective Impact of the Civil Society in Education

Share

The Rwanda Education Education NGOs Coordination Platform (RENCP) has grown significantly since it was launched in June 2010 and is now recognized as an important voice in the education sector.  Our members work in every district of the country.  RENCP is officially represented at the Joint Review of the Education Sector (JRES), Education Sector Working Group (ESWG) and Basic Education Working Group (BEWG).  Individual members represent on major government working groups, provide valuable feedback on significant policies, contribute to innovation in the education sector, and collaborate on strategic issues such as the Curriculum Review.

As RENCP was approaching its five-year birthday, various groups such as the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), Development Partners, and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) have encouraged RENCP to better reflect our collective impact through a formal mechanism.  This is why the initiative to develop a Collective Impact Report was taken.
