Rwandese Endogenous Development Association (ARDE/KUBAHO) is a local NGO which has mission “to promote and stimulate sustainable Socio- economic development†through six strategic directions among them is promotion of research and education based on philosophy and culture via mobilizing parents for Early Child Development (ECD) Program, support in mobilization of reduction of high number of school dropout whereby in some areas of the country such as in Kamonyi, Muhanga, Nyabihu and Rubavu District. One of the causes of school dropout is lack of water and they spend a lot of hours in the way going and from the water source. To face on this school dropout, ARDE/KUBAHO increases access to water and sanitation facilities in the community and at school level (tippy tap, hygiene kits, taps, posters for demonstration of hygiene and sanitation practices, tanks, Ecosan…) and then promotes hygiene and sanitation in schools through strengthening the school hygiene clubs so as the learning and teaching process be in good conditions and conducive environment without any disturbance.
