Rwanda Menâ€™s Resource centre (RWAMREC) is a Rwanda national leading organization in addressing gender related issues using the Men Engage approach. It was created by 9 like-minded men, prompted by; 1) the need to empower men and reach out to other men so that we promote gender equality practices through positive masculine behaviors; 2) to promote effective cross-gender dialogue in ending sexual and gender-based violence; 3) to enhance menâ€™s understanding and support to womenâ€™s empowerment initiatives; 4) adoption of healthy and non-violent behaviors that men need for their sustainable socio-economic development and promotion of healthy families.
The vision of RWAMREC is a Rwandan peaceful society where women and men share roles and responsibilities of raising families, and governing society in equality and respect of human rights.
RWAMRECâ€™s core mission is to promote gender equality through reconstruction of a non-violent identity of men, adoption of healthy masculine behaviors and menâ€™s empowerment to be positive and supportive partners, role models for other men and change agents in promoting healthy families and womenâ€™s socio-economic development, eradication of sexual and gender-based violence, positive fatherhood and menâ€™s health in Rwanda.

ïƒ¼ Promote Menâ€™s positive attitudes and behaviors towards non-violence and gender equality practices in Rwanda
ïƒ¼ Building partnerships, networking synergies between men and women for effective prevention sexual and gender-based violence and promotion of healthy families,
ïƒ¼ Spearheading capacity development networking and building synergies with other stakeholders for effective prevention of sexual and gender-based,
ïƒ¼ Development of community resource centers and evidence-based programming initiatives aimed at providing psycho-social support and avail education services including information resources based on action-oriented research in areas of gender equality, Men Engage approaches, and gender-based violence in Rwanda.
